Advice to a Young Man on Choosing a Life Companion
My dear friend,
I don’t have a magic solution to curb your natural inclinations, and even if I did, I doubt I’d share it. The best remedy for your situation is marriage. It’s the most natural state for humans and, thus, where you’ll likely find lasting happiness. Your reasons for delaying marriage don’t hold much weight. The potential benefits you see in waiting are both uncertain and minor compared to the significant advantages of being married and settled.
Marriage makes you a more complete person. On your own, you’re like one half of a pair of scissors. A prudent and healthy wife, combined with your industriousness, will create a stable and prosperous life. But if you’re set on avoiding marriage for now and believe interactions with women are inevitable, I’ll give you some unconventional advice: prefer older women over younger ones. Here’s why:
Wisdom and Experience: Older women have more life experience and a wealth of observations. Their conversations are more enriching and enjoyable in the long run.
Character and Utility: When beauty fades, older women focus on being good and useful. They become tender, helpful friends, especially in times of illness. This makes them continuously amiable.
No Risk of Children: With older women, there’s no risk of unplanned children, which can bring numerous complications.
Discretion: Their experience makes them more prudent and discreet, making the relationship safer in terms of reputation. If the affair becomes known, people might even admire an older woman for guiding a young man away from destructive paths.
Appearance: Physical changes with age start from the top. So, focusing only on the lower part of the body, older women can be indistinguishable from younger ones. In the dark, all cats are grey, and the physical pleasure can be equal or even better with an older woman due to their experience.
Less Harmful: Seducing a young girl can ruin her life. An older woman is less likely to be harmed by the relationship.
Less Guilt: Making a young girl miserable can lead to guilt. Making an older woman happy is free from such regret.
Gratitude: Older women are often more grateful for the companionship and attention.
These points support my argument. But let me be clear: my primary advice is to get married. It’s the best path forward.
